These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Arain Shadi ("Arain Shadi", "we", "us", or "our"), developed and operated by Ranker Solutions. They apply to your use of the Arain Shadi mobile application, the website arainshadi.com and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
Arain Shadi is a matrimonial platform that helps adults and their families find suitable marriage proposals. Members create profiles with details such as name, age, profession, sect, location, residence details and likes and dislikes, which are used to show and match proposals. The Service is intended only for genuine matrimonial purposes and not for casual dating, business promotion or any other purpose.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old (and of legal marriageable age under the laws that apply to you) to use the Service or to have a profile on it.
- You must be legally able to marry. You may not create a profile if you are prohibited by law from marrying.
- You must not have been previously removed from the Service for violating these Terms.
3. Profiles Created by Family Members
A parent, guardian, sibling or relative may create and manage a profile on behalf of an adult family member. If you do so, you confirm that the person is at least 18 years old, has agreed to the profile being created, and that all information you provide about them is true. You are responsible for all activity on that profile.
4. Your Account
- You must provide a valid phone number and/or email and keep your login details confidential.
- You may only have one active profile for yourself (or one per family member you manage).
- You are responsible for all activity that happens through your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
5. Accurate Profile Information
Marriage decisions depend on honest information. You agree that the details you provide, including your name, age, marital status, profession, education, sect, location, residence details, family details, likes and dislikes and photos, are true, current and your own. You must not:
- Create a fake profile or impersonate any other person.
- Hide or misrepresent your marital status, age or other important facts.
- Upload photos of another person, or photos you do not have the right to use.
You agree that your profile details will be shown to other members to help find matches, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Community Rules and Prohibited Content
To keep Arain Shadi safe and respectful, you must not post, send or share content, or behave in a way, that:
- Is sexually explicit, nude, pornographic or sexually suggestive, or involves minors in any way.
- Harasses, threatens, bullies, stalks, blackmails or intimidates any person.
- Contains hate speech or insults any person or group based on religion, sect, caste, family, ethnicity, gender or disability.
- Is violent, abusive, obscene, defamatory or illegal.
- Asks other members for money, gifts, bank details or financial help, or involves any scam, fraud or dowry demand.
- Advertises, promotes or sells products, services or other websites, or is spam.
- Shares another person's private information (such as phone number, address or photos) without their permission.
- Contains viruses or harmful code, or attempts to hack, scrape, copy or disrupt the Service or other members' accounts.
- Promotes illegal activity or violates any applicable law.
7. Reporting, Blocking and Moderation
If you see a fake profile, inappropriate content or behaviour that breaks these Terms, please use the Report and Block options in the app, or contact us through our Contact Us page. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms. We may also report illegal activity to the relevant authorities. We are not required to review every profile or message before it appears, but we may review, edit or remove any content at any time.
Child safety is covered separately in our Child Safety Standards, which form part of these Terms.
8. Your Safety
Arain Shadi provides a platform to find proposals, but we do not conduct background checks on members and cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, character, background or behaviour of any member. Before moving forward with any proposal, you and your family should:
- Verify the person's identity and details independently.
- Involve family members in meetings and decisions.
- Meet for the first time in a public place with family present.
- Never send money or share financial details with anyone you meet through the Service.
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, both on and off the Service.
9. Your Content
You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you add to the Service. By adding content, you give Arain Shadi a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, display and process it only for the purpose of operating and improving the Service, such as showing your profile to other members. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with other members or kept as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Installing the App
The Arain Shadi Android app may be downloaded from Google Play or as an APK file from this website. You agree to install it only from these official sources. Files obtained anywhere else may be altered and are not supported by us. You are responsible for making sure your device meets the requirements and for any data charges when downloading.
11. Paid Features
Some features may be offered as paid memberships or packages. If so, the price, duration and benefits will be shown in the app before you pay. Purchases made through the Google Play app are processed by Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable, and paid membership does not guarantee a match or marriage.
12. Intellectual Property
The Arain Shadi name, logo, app, website design and software belong to Arain Shadi / Ranker Solutions and are protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.
13. Suspension and Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app settings or through our Account Deletion page. We may suspend, restrict or delete your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, provide false information, create risk for other members, or if required by law. Paid features are not refunded if your account is removed for violating these Terms.
14. Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise that you will find a match or get married, that other members' information is accurate, or that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arain Shadi, Ranker Solutions and their team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss or harm caused by the conduct of any member or other person, whether online or offline, arising from your use of the Service.
16. Indemnity
You agree to be responsible for, and to protect Arain Shadi and Ranker Solutions from, any claims, losses or expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date above, and for important changes we will notify you in the app or by other appropriate means. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
